Vintage Cast Iron Toy, Cast Iron Coal Wagon with Rider
The auctioneer claimed the cast iron items at auction were 1930's or earlier, I could not find this one looking thru hundreds of pictures online. I am presuming the black load is coal though the wagon doesn't say anything.
The wheels roll for the horses, but the wagon wheels have rusted shut so may need to be restored if you wish it to roll. The toy is intact but is rusty from years of sitting in barn from looks of it. It is pretty large I have seen some smaller version close to this one like 1/3rd smaller.
All together the toy is about 16" long when together. The wagon is about 9" long and the horses are about the same length with wagon covering about 2" of the carriage. The horses are about 4" tall.
