Vintage Marx Toy Truck, Tin Wind-up Truck, Royal Van Co., 1930's#P
I belief this was made in the 1930's probably late 30's. I couldn't find a year on it or anything mention when made on internet. The box I am unsure it is original box or not but was with truck at auction so it will come with truck when sold. With some info from a very nice person, the box is indeed from the 40's and the toy is from the 30's.
With new info please note the box is not the original box but a later box from the 40's.
Truck is 9" long, 4.5" tall, and 3.5" wide.
The box is in good shape with some cardboard lost on one side, i am leaving the way it is to protect it.
The truck is in pretty good shape the other one i found on internet also is missing the back piece to the carrying compartment of animals. The wind-up does wind but I am either doing something wrong or it doesn't make it go forward though all the gears are present may need to be oiled or fixed. Tires in good shape and can still read the writing with Marx and such. It is a little faded due to age and does have some paint lost but not much in a few areas.
